Our Domain experts are from all disciplines of petroleum exploration and production activities namely, Geology, Geophysics, Petrophysics, Reservoir Engineer, Production Engineer, Drilling etc. Our Key Personnel are as follows:
Mr. Subrata Kumar Das
– Promoter/Director
Former Executive Director of ONGC, having about four decades of experience and exposure in all gamut of petroleum exploration. An alumnus of IIT, Kharagpur and ISB, Hyderabad having distinction of heading “GEOPIC”, the leading R&D center of ONGC and also to lead exploration activities of the “Cambay Basin” as Basin Manager. Additionally, has also the experience of working for the Upstream Regulator in India for seven years in its formative period of NELP regime.
Mr. Sudhakar Mahapatra
– Exploration Advisor
The Exploration Advisor. He has served Oil India as Director (E&D) and is a well-known Explorationist. Having the distinction of working in ONGC, OVL and Oil India, he brings in multi-faceted expertise including international experience.
Braja Gopal Samanta
– Geologist
An accomplished petroleum geologist and petroleum exploration manager with more than 35 years of diverse experience in the upstream exploration and production business cycle.
Long experience in different fields of exploration geology, eg. Research institute, geological field work, well-site operation, 2D seismic interpretation, 3D seismic interpretation, prospect generation and finalization, reserve estimation, bid block evaluation, exploration planning . Experienced in assessment, delineation and development planning of discovered fields. As senior consultant advised board of management regarding investment decisions through evaluation and due diligence of new E&P opportunities.
T R Murali Mohan
– Geophysics (Imaging Expert)
An Accomplished and well known Domain Expert in the field of Seismic Data Processing/Imaging having three decades of expertise in processing with latest technology. Processed 3D data of almost all sedimentary basins of India and also 2D and 3D data from overseas viz. Cuba, Vietnam, Iraq, Iran, Gabon, Kazakhstan etc. Headed the Largest Processing Centre of ONGC for several Years. A known mentor for the youngsters.
P K Chaudhuri
– Geophysics (Reservoir Characterization Expert)
All round experience in seismic API for over three decades. An Accomplished and well known Domain Expert in the field of advance interpretation involving Inversion, AVO, Attribute Analysis and developed special expertise in Reservoir Characterization using latest state-of-art technology. Served as Head of R&D division and Interpretation Division of Geopic, a premier R&D institute of ONGC. Also, formulated, guided and supervised all in-house and PAN IIT R&D projects of Geopic with different IITs since 2016 to 2019.
