We have entered into a technical collaboration agreement with SamiGeo Consulting Ltd, Calgary, Canada for providing high-end and high-quality G&G services to the Indian E&P companies. The primary objective of the agreement is to explore business development in India by sharing the joint resources and expertise of the two companies. While SamiGeo will extend its technical support and expertise in project execution, DPPL will market and promote niche products and services of SamiGeo for the Indian clients/ projects wherever applicable. Fracture Characterisation (Basement Fracture Exploration), Litho-Fluid Prediction, Spectral Enhancement, Fracability (Shale Gas Exploration), Deep water thin sand, and carbonate reservoir characterization are some of their specialized products/services.

The President of SamiGeo, Sh. Satinder Chopra is an internationally renowned industry professional having more than three decades of industry experience, spanning his stints at ONGC, CTC Pulsonic, Calgary, and Arcis Seismic Solutions, TGS, Calgary, before starting his own company. He has written several technical books and authored many technical articles, especially in the domain of advanced interpretation aimed at the characterization of reservoirs. He has been the 2010–2011 CSEG Distinguished Lecturer, the 2011–2012 AAPG/SEG Distinguished Lecturer, and the 2014–2015 EAGE e-Distinguished Lecturer. He is the recipient of several awards at ONGC, CSEG, AAPG, and APEGA, the most notable ones being the Roy O. Lindseth CSEG Medal (2021), AAPG Distinguished Service Award (2021), EAGE Honorary Membership Award (2017), CSEG Honorary Membership (2014) and Meritorious Service (2005) Awards, APEGA Frank Spragins Award (2014), the AAPG George Matson Award (2010) the AAPG Jules Braunstein Award (2013) and the SEG Best Poster Awards (2007, 2014).
